a Grand Goodbye II

With A Grand Goodbye, ensemble Huniyāgar, Pieter De Praetere and Thomas Langlois present a programme about farewell.

The programme opens with religious music for farewell and death: Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary by Henry Purcell and Funeral Psalmes by John Dowland. This is followed, as a meditative intermezzo, by a new creation by Diederik Glorieux. Finally, three secular works about farewell are performed: Flow my tears by John Dowland, O solitude by Henry Purcell and Dido’s Lament from Dido and Aeneas.

Pieter De Praetere and ensemble Huniyāgar are accompanied by Thomas Langlois. The programme is conducted by Diederik Glorieux.
