Colors I is a sound installation featuring electronic music by Wim Henderickx, realized by composer and sound artist Jorrit Tamminga.
The installation takes shape in spaces whose architecture and atmosphere invite stillness and meditation. The music unfolds continuously, without a fixed beginning or end. Visitors are free to enter, listen and leave at any moment.
The architecture of the space becomes part of the experience. Light and colour draw their inspiration from the music itself and are adapted to the specific setting. Sound, colour and space thus form a unified whole.
Colors I was first realized at St Augustine’s Church in Stasegem.
