Vibrations - performance 1

A musical evening centred on co-creation.

The historic bell tower and Sint-Salvator Church form the setting for a musical parcours with countertenor Pieter De Praetere, sound artist and composer Jorrit Tamminga, Mireille Capelle and HERMESensemble for contemporary music, the inclusive stads[K]oor and DJ Dimitri Andreas. Ancient chants merge with contemporary sounds, electronics and improvisation, growing into a distinctive musical experience in an exceptional location. The musicians draw particular inspiration from the oeuvre of Peter Benoit. The evening is curated by Diederik Glorieux and connects with his research project, which focuses on co-creation in contemporary music practice.

Vibrations... is an initiative of Musica H., which stimulates creation. The project is realised in collaboration with CC het SPOOR and the research group Labo XIX&XX of the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.
