Vibrations - performance 2

A musical evening centred on co-creation.

The historic bell tower and St Salvator’s Church provide the setting for a musical journey featuring countertenor Pieter De Praetere, sound artist and composer Jorrit Tamminga, Mireille Capelle, HERMESensemble, ensemble Huniyāgar, the inclusive stads[K]oor and DJ Dimitri Andreas. Centuries-old chants merge with contemporary sounds, electronics and improvisation, developing into a distinctive musical experience in this exceptional setting. The musicians draw particular inspiration from the work of Peter Benoit.

The evening is curated by Diederik Glorieux and connects with his research into co-creation in contemporary musical practice.

Vibrations... is an initiative of Musica H., an organisation that supports and encourages new creative work. The project is developed in collaboration with CC het SPOOR and the Labo XIX&XX research group at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.
